Maybe it’s you we are looking for to join our team, as our new Maintenance Mechanic.   Requirements The Evansville, IN manufacturing plant is futureproofing and expanding the capacity of its high-performance materials compounding facility. The extensive modernization and expansion of the site are being driven by increasing customer demand for advanced material solutions for electrification, metal replacement, and light weighting in multiple industries. It includes the addition of the latest state-of-the-art production technologies, increasing efficiency and sustainability throughout the facility. Envalior is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic to support the troubleshooting, repair, and preventive maintenance of production equipment. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring safe and efficient operation of machinery, reducing downtime, and maintaining high-quality production standards. The Maintenance Mechanic will work with mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems, performing scheduled rebuilds, diagnosing failures, and executing repairs to keep the facility running smoothly. Key Responsibilities: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using a variety of hand and power tools. Disassemble, inspect, and repair production equipment, ensuring all components meet operational tolerances. Perform minor electrical repairs on circuits containing less than 50 volts. Conduct preventive maintenance (PM) tasks to minimize equipment failures. Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to determine proper repair procedures. Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication of metal components as needed. Rig and align large motors, gearboxes, and other critical equipment. Comply with safety protocols and procedures, participating in the site’s safety programs. Maintain accurate computerized maintenance records using desktop and tablet-based systems. What We’re Looking For: Minimum of 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance, mechanical repair, or journeyman-level work. Hands-on experience with shop tools, hand tools, and multimeters. Ability to read and interpret blueprints for mechanical and electrical systems. Knowledge of industrial safety requirements and best practices. Experience with welding (MIG/TIG), pipefitting, and rigging preferred. Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Basic computer proficiency for work order management and email communication. Place all out of specification products and/or raw materials on hold using an orange QC Hold tag. Conduct and report daily GMP audits and corrective measures on designated shift. Perform a walkthrough with the shift supervisor at least once per week. Assist in maintaining retained production samples for each product produced. As needed, assist with training of new employees and refresher training of existing employees in GMP, HACCP and other certifications as needed.
