Escrow.com is expanding its team in San Francisco and is seeking a Payments Analyst to support the processing and oversight of payments on our platform. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the review and reconciliation of high-value transactions, ensuring proper payment handling and release. We are seeking candidates with a minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, who are eager to take on their next challenge and join one of the world's leading fintech companies. Responsibilities: Efficiently review and resolve a high volume of daily payment processing with accuracy and speed. Understand banking processes and procedures, including payment formats such as wire, ACH, and check transactions. Analyze and resolve simple to complex payment processing issues, collaborating with internal teams and external banking institutions. Effectively communicate with teams across our global offices. Hold or obtain the necessary work experience to apply for the Escrow Manager License through DFPI (Department of Financial Protection and Innovation). Provide exceptional customer support by contacting customers to provide updates on payment statuses. Identify opportunities for process improvements related to daily payment operations. Payments In: Reconcile inbound payments with created transactions throughout the day. Follow up with customers regarding payment issues through phone and email. Conduct anti-fraud procedures using internal reporting systems. Payments Out: Review completed escrow transactions to ensure fulfillment of release conditions and anti-fraud controls. Close out escrow transactions and distribute funds according to sellers' disbursement preferences. Reconcile outbound payments with closed escrow transactions throughout the day. Provide support to clients through phone and email inquiries. Requirements: Accounting or Finance qualification from an accredited college or university. Minimum 2 years of experience conducting and / or supervising accounting-related functions, including maintaining books, records, and accounts as required by legal regulations governing escrow transactions and services. Ideally prior experience in an accounting or financial analyst role. Knowledge and understanding of legal regulations governing escrow transactions and services. Previous experience as a Payments Analyst is a plus. Experience with international payments (SWIFT, IBAN) and US realtime payments (Zelle, FedNow, RTP) is a plus. Degree in accounting, business, quantitative analysis, or a related field. Willingness to work flexible hours when necessary. Excellent personal and customer service skills. Positive, enthusiastic, and hands-on approach with a strong work ethic. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multitasking environment.
