The Role: The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of IT infrastructure, cloud platforms and computer systems. This role is responsible for complete electronics hardware design of consumer, medical, industrial and connected electronic products. Responsibilities include diverse activities such as scoping design effort, block diagrams and system design, component selection and calculations, schematic design, PCB layout, coordinating prototype build and test of completed prototypes.  All programs have the goal of commercialization and require the Senior Hardware Design Engineer to manage and direct contract manufacturers up to and including the product launch.  The Senior Hardware Design Engineer will often be the technical lead on a complex electronics project. REQUIREMENTS This role takes place at our studio, unless specific jobs take us on the road with the principal designers or when we’re required to visit local projects and such. As stated before, we are not open to telecommuting except on very rare occasions. You need to possess extensive knowledge of Revit and Lumion and Google Workplace ecosystem, strong typing skills, good familiarity with some graphic tools. We will look out for an individual with strong communication skills, who understand construction costs and can design within budget. Pragmatism and a natural inclination for achieving a careful balance between originality and feasibility is required, as well as a desire to navigate the entitlement process with tact and strategy.
