Your primary responsibility will be to conduct thorough vascular ultrasound assessments on patients, specifically targeting the lower extremities, while ensuring an exceptional patient experience throughout the process.  Position Details:  Location: Cary, NC. Schedule: Full-time, Monday - Thursday. Compensation: $43-$48hr based on experience and qualifications.   Key Responsibilities:  Conduct vascular ultrasound examinations to create detailed reports for physicians to help formulate safe and effective treatment plans.  Work collaboratively with physicians to explain the examination results and proposed treatment options to patients.  Prepare and maintain examination rooms, including the setup and cleanup of equipment and supplies before and after each patient.  Ensure adherence to timelines for ultrasound exams to maintain an efficient patient flow throughout the clinic.  Coordinate with administrative and medical staff to guarantee the availability and timely delivery of ultrasound services.  Commit to continuous professional development and education to meet the standards set by the organization.  Participate in maintaining ultrasound equipment and monitoring inventory for supplies.  Perform other duties as assigned by the supervising physician or clinic management.  Requirements Certificate of Completion from an accredited Ultrasound program, Required Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS), Registered Phlebology Sonographer (RpHS), or be elegible to obtain certification within 90 days of employment. Assures that all high-risk patients (SI and SAO) patients are located at the front of the unit, near the nursing station and that the rounding sheets have reflecting red and/or purple dots. Round in the med room to assess the cleanliness of the room. Notify the CN to correct if not up to expectation. This includes the glucometer and required documentation. Holds staff accountable. There should be no phones being used, sleeping occurring or staff leaving the units without permission. Completes face-to-face for emergency restraints and seclusion. Assures that staff completed all required documentation. Review your emails and respond on your shift before you leave each day. Present any disciplinary or training information to staff as directed. Complete 90-day evaluation on all your staff. Provide input for annual staff evaluations. Complete daily Clinical Supervisor shift report accurately. Other duties upon request. Strong knowledge of cardiac and vascular anatomy, as well as catheterization techniques. Excellent assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively in a team environment. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications required. Certification in Cardiac Credentialing (CCRN or RCIS) is a plus.
