We are working with the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to address the backlog of these exams, and there are currently a considerable number of exams available in your area. These Medical Disability Exams are crucial in the VA process for determining the benefits Veterans can receive because of service-connected health issues. Physicians must have proven experience working with older adults with cognitive impairment concerns. The role includes interpreting test results, formulating care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to support patients experiencing cognitive concerns. This is a remote position. Your Role: Interpret cognitive assessment tests remotely for Medicare-eligible individuals. Develop and document personalized care plans based on assessment results. Work in compliance with Medicare billing requirements for cognitive assessment services. Collaborate with behavioral health professionals to provide a comprehensive approach to cognitive care. Maintain accurate and timely documentation in an electronic health records system (EHR). Requirements Our Requirements: MD or DO with an active, unrestricted medical license At least 2 years experience in neurology, geriatrics, psychiatry, primary care, or a related field preferred Familiarity with cognitive testing tools such as MoCA, MMSE, or equivalent Comfort with telehealth platforms and electronic health records (EHR) Strong communication skills and a patient-centered approach Must be comfortable utilizing technology and providing teletherapy Familiarity with CMS guidelines for cognitive assessments Existing credentialing with Medicare is a plus Must be able to pass a criminal background check Must have experience working with clients who are age 65+ Must have an active NPI Must be available to start with a minimum of 5 hours per week Benefits Compensation: $120-$130 per hour based on experience and credentials. We are currently seeking Board-Certified Orthopedic Spine Surgeons with an active New York medical license and Workers’ Compensation Board Certification to conduct Utilization Reviews. This is a fully remote, non-clinical role offering supplemental income with flexible scheduling. Physicians provide objective, evidence-based opinions on the medical necessity of treatment requests and appeals. No patient contact, no treatment, and no doctor-patient relationship is established. Our physician panel is comprised of independent contract reviewers (1099) compensated on a per-case basis. The ideal candidates will hold an OR license and be Board Certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, with experience in completing Independent Medical Exams. Independent Medical Exam must be completed within 50 miles of Portland, OR. Requirements As Physician Reviewer/Advisor, you will utilize clinical expertise and reviews insurance appeals, and prospective and retrospective claims. The Physician Reviewer will provide an interpretation of the medical necessity of services provided by other healthcare professionals in compliance with client specific policies, nationally recognized evidence-based guidelines, and standards of care.
