We are seeking an Operations Director for Promise Academy II High School. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the mission of HCZ Promise Academy, a demonstrated track record of success moving students and using data to inform the big picture, and an understanding and respect for the families and community of Central Harlem. What You'll Do Operations Monitor attendance tracking systems and communication including arrival and dismissal logistics (ex. breakfast, transition to after school) Coordinate school-wide scheduling (including coverage for absent teachers) Supervise all non-instructional staff (Office Manager, Parent Coordinator, Deans, and Counselors) Oversee non-instructional programs (facilities, supplies, events, field trips) Monitor certification status of instructional staff, set targets, and meet with Central monthly to provide updates Collaborate with the health center, staff, and parents to ensure that students attend scheduled appointments and take full advantage of services Coordinate new hire onboarding logistics (ex. bathroom key, technology, school logistics, etc.)  Manage school website with announcements and ensure teachers are keeping classroom websites updated Schedule enrollment meetings to reach admission goals Culture Implement and monitor school culture framework Implement and manage feedback systems including surveys, suggestion box, and other methods to monitor teacher morale Manage behavior and discipline of Deans and distribute suspension and hearing letters to parents Oversee school events Collaborate with Parent Coordinators to plan parent events (ex. back-to-school night), and support with PAPA board meetings and initiatives Requirements Master’s degree with at 6 years of experience is required; must have at least 3 years of experience in an administrative/leadership capacity Must be able to  demonstrate successful teaching experience and/or administrative experience Extensive course work experience in curriculum development Excellent oral and written communication skills New York State School Building Leader (SBL) or School District Leader (SDL) certification preferred Schedule Monday - Friday Must be flexible to work some weekends Benefits To achieve these exceptional outcomes, we hire the best and brightest educators and administrators and offer one of the most competitive benefits packages in the industry.
