As part of our team, you will play a vital role in restoring communities impacted by hurricanes. Key Responsibilities Perform various manual labor tasks such as debris removal, tree cutting, and site cleanup in hurricane-affected areas. Assist in loading and unloading materials and equipment related to recovery efforts. Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure the safety and efficiency of operations. Follow all safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Operate hand tools and power equipment as needed for cleanup tasks. Help with the setup of temporary shelters and facilities for displaced residents. This is a physically demanding role that requires hard work and commitment under sometimes challenging conditions. PROJECT TYPES: *Construction, grading and excavation. *Site development for home tracts, roads and underground utilities. KEY REPSONSIBILITIES: *Be able to identify bid opportunities, evaluate and complete bids, material take-offs. *Coordinate and provide support to field and sales staff and manage the project from bid to completion. *Continually track project to ensure it is on track and billing is accurate. *Consult with clients, vendors and other individuals on bidding documents. *Develop the most effective means and methods of construction. *This is a full-time in office position. SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS: * Bluebeam experience is a plus. *Experience bidding on public and private projects for doing earthwork and utilities. *Strong work ethic, team player with attention to detail and ability to work independently. *Excellent judgement, problem-solving and mathematical skills required

Warfel Construction is currently looking for a Yard Assistant. The Yard Assistant role reports directly to the Shop Foreman in addition to the VP of Field Operations. This position requires strict adherence to all Warfel safety rules and regulations, including any site-specific necessities. Standard work hours are M – F, beginning at 7:00 AM through 3:30 PM with a 30-minute lunch. Occasional Saturday work and overtime may be required. Travel to and from the jobsite may occur daily depending on project-specific needs; reliable transportation is required. This position does require the ability to work in ever-changing work environments, including variable weather conditions. Job responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: Assist Shop Foreman in maintaining tool inventory system. Make truck deliveries from storage yard to job sites and from jobsite to jobsite. Deliveries will vary in size of material and equipment. Pick up material from vendors and suppliers, check for damaged or defective items, load and unload material and equipment (using tie down straps or hold down chains). Maintain and repair tools and other items as needed. Set an alarm system for the yard shop and check the security of building/gates daily. Maintain all office and yard parking lots and warehouse storage area in a clean and orderly condition. Check that all lighting systems are in operation. Needs to have a commitment to safety and keeping the work area neat and clean. Logging tools in and out from jobsites, checking for proper operations before putting tools away or sending them out. Perform other duties, as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: High school degree or GED equivalent Ability to work within a standard of accuracy and must be able to manage multiple competing priorities. You must have a valid PA Driver’s License and be informed of all regulations of the Commercial Motor Vehicle code. Must pass a DOT physical. Must be comfortable driving a stake body truck with a trailer and equipment.  A working knowledge of carpentry is essential, as many projects and repairs include wood components. Excellent communication, organizational and people skills, with proven success working in team environments.
