Description

TechOp Solutions International is seeking a dedicated Junior FOIA Analyst to join our team. This position is crucial in supporting our government clients in managing Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. The ideal candidate will thrive in a detail-oriented role that requires both analytical skills and a commitment to transparency in government operations. Key Responsibilities: Manage FOIA requests end-to-end, from intake through final response Conduct records searches, document review, redactions, and exemption application Draft and edit official correspondence in compliance with FOIA and Privacy Act guidelines Apply QA/QC checks to ensure accuracy in redactions, citations, and formatting Coordinate with team leads or agency stakeholders when needed Track, log, and report FOIA activity using standard FOIA tracking tools Requirements High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred. 1–2 years of FOIA experience, including cradle-to-grave exposure Strong understanding of FOIA exemptions and redaction practices Experience with QA/QC workflows (document review, change tracking, release validation) Excellent attention to detail and writing/editing skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office and redaction tools (Adobe Acrobat Pro preferred) Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated. U.S. Citizenship is required Must meet security requirements Benefits The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At TechOp, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $25.00 - 27.00 per hour.
