Position Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Groundskeeper to join our maintenance team. The Groundskeeper will be responsible for maintaining the outdoor spaces and common areas of our properties, ensuring they are clean, safe, and welcoming for residents and visitors. Key Responsibilities: ·         Clean and maintain common area hallways and outdoor spaces. ·         Ensure the cleanliness of the office and administrative areas. ·         Prepare vacant apartments by cleaning and performing basic maintenance tasks to get them ready for new move-ins. ·         Pick up trash and debris on the property to maintain a tidy environment. ·         Assist with landscaping and grounds maintenance as needed. ·         Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to the Maintenance Supervisor. Requirements ·         Previous experience in groundskeeping, janitorial work, or a related field preferred. ·         Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality work. ·         Ability to work independently and as part of a team. ·         Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude. ·         Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Our small company is looking to add one member to our long-standing group of technicians. We get to work in some of the nicest homes around Seattle and often travel for customers who have multiple homes. Experience with installing a media room of your own, configuring network equipment, terminating cables, and/or configuring smart home devices is a major plus. You will also need to demonstrate good craftsmanship with your hands using hand tools, drills, and saws as well as using precision measurement tools such as levels and a tape measure. What you’d be doing: -Working on residential projects during construction pulling wire, settings speakers, drilling holes and finishing installations while working under one of our lead technicians. -Installing TV’s, speakers, shades, etc in 2, 5, even 50 million dollar finished homes - NO room for mistakes, NO room for even a thought of theft - some jobs even require non-disclosure agreements to be signed before you are allowed on site. -After 2 years you can take your journeyman test and can lead two apprentices of your own -If you get good at installs, running projects, and configuring/programming some of our systems you can make very good money -If you have the ability to manage the installation of these projects as a field manager by coordinating parts, labor, schedule requirements there are opportunities to double your hourly rate based on an incentive structure. Sandy beaches, wooded trails, cultural gardens, historic homes, community supported agriculture—there are many ways for visitors to discover and explore The Trustees, and just as many opportunities for seasonal employees to make each visitor’s experience special.    The Role:  The Steward will care for the grounds, flowers, beds, shrubs, and trees at two primary sites and possibly assist at others in the Metrowest region.    Specifically, you’ll:  Perform routine and non-routine maintenance of landscapes, including mowing and trimming lawns, fields, and along stonewalls, caring for and weeding flower beds, tree and shrub care, and brush and invasive plant removal.   Maintain and inspect parking areas, trails, and other visitor areas.   Maintain and clean buildings, bathrooms, structures, and infrastructure, which may include basic carpentry and painting tasks.   Clean and perform routine maintenance and repairs to equipment and tools.   Remove trash and litter from reservations.   May work with and lead volunteers and other seasonal staff.   Represent the Trustees in accordance with the messages developed and provided by the organization’s Education and Engagement department, while behaving in a professional manner with colleagues, property visitors, and volunteers.    Always wear a Trustees’ provided uniform.   Perform tasks safely and in accordance with The Trustees safety manual.   Other duties as assigned with or without accommodation.     This is a seasonal, limited term, hourly position working up to 32 hours per week, reporting directly to the property Stewardship Manager.  Requirements What You’ll Need: Skills and Experience:  One year of experience with landscape, grounds, and/or park maintenance is preferred.  Experience working independently and cooperatively with other staff and having a good eye for detail.  Comfortable and competent using hand tools and operating landscaping equipment (e.g., lawn mowers, brush saws, and leaf blowers).  Experience working with and leading volunteers or staff is preferred  Eligibility Criteria:  Current authorization to work in the United States – a candidate must have such authorization by his or her first day of employment.  A valid driver’s license, as well as a satisfactory driving record as outlined in The Trustees’ driving policy.  A satisfactory criminal background (CORI) check. Key Responsibilities: Coordinate and prioritize the workload of the Automotive technician team, assigning tasks and ensuring that all work is completed in a timely manner.
