JOB DESCRIPTION:                Identify, originate, evaluate, and take part in the diligence and negotiation of new investment opportunities. Ensure adherence to approval standards and procedures. Participate in asset management activities as well as continuous exit re-evaluation and execution. Continually develop and update Growth-specific operating procedures for investment and asset management processes. Manage and develop cross-department relationships to ensure cooperation on investment projects across departments and locations. Evaluate new investment opportunities and synthesize findings in form of presentations and memos for internal discussions. Prepare all aspects of internal investment documentation in form of presentations and memos to be presented to governing bodies. Manage projects by taking part in scoping and managing the content and timing of relevant due diligence streams (e.g. commercial, financial, legal, IT, operational) related to investment projects and portfolio companies. Create models to assess new potential and current investments, including all aspects of bottom-up operational forecasting, three-statement models, valuation models, liquidation models, and capital structure models. Develop pipeline of investment opportunities by sourcing, tracking, and documenting new investment opportunities through research, external meetings expert calls, external advisors, and conferences. Domestic travel required up to 20% of the time. Requirements JOB REQUIREMENTS:           Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in a life-science related engineering field and a minimum of 1 year of financial services experience working at an investment bank, or a leading consultancy organization. Experience must include: corporate finance valuation; conducting advanced financial modelling in Excel and presentations in PowerPoint; synthesizing multiple data points to conduct analyses and form investment theses; working with due diligence processes on M&A transactions; working with third parties (incl. investment bankers, management consultants, or industry advisors) to execute M&A transactions; and Healthcare or life science experience. The Position Our bank client is seeking to fill a Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager role in the Murfreesboro, TN area. This selected candidate will be responsible for independently managing a large Commercial Loan portfolio. The candidate will manage, acquire, and deepen a portfolio of new and existing profitable lending relationships, with a greater emphasis on maintaining a larger lending portfolio of the Bank’s existing clients. This position includes a generous salary of up to $110K plus bonus and a full benefits package. (This is not a remote position). Commercial Loan Portfolio Manager responsibilities include: Managing a portfolio of commercial clients including monitoring loan covenants and structuring loan proposals. Underwriting and originating of new credits from existing and/or new customers including renewals, modifications, and annual reviews. Making appropriate loan structure recommendations. Proactively looks to expand client base by cultivating referral relationships, and target marketing clients/prospects in accordance with the Bank’s marketing standards. Meeting and exceeding monthly performance scorecard goals that include but, are not limited to developing new profitable business relationships.
