We are a fabrication shop in BedStuy working in a variety of industries with a heavy focus in millwork/interiors and production work for experiential. We are looking for someone who is (hopefully) familiar with all aspects of the drafting process from initial sketching through to shop drawings and CAM. The ideal candidate is experienced with Rhino and RhinoCam but other programs could be acceptable. An understanding of fabrication and materials would be key and a good attitude with an ability to take direction and extrapolate is a must. Experience operating a CNC would also be invaluable. Kumi Construction Management Corporation is seeking a full-time Construction Cost Estimator to assist in the preparation of cost estimates for our clients in the New York City Metropolitan areas. This position will report directly to the Chief Estimator. You would need to get the plans from the city, look at photos, determine whether and to what extent illegal construction is being done, give sworn affidavits for court and testify in court as necessary.
