About the MLE Strategy team The MLE Strategy team works with evidence that directly transforms Evidence Action's programs and saves lives. We design smart monitoring and evaluation solutions that enable real-time program adaptation based on rigorous insights with our regional and global teams. With the work our team does, Evidence Action is uniquely able to adapt its programs based on the evidence we generate and share You will be a strong fit for this six (6) month (expected to be about twenty (20) hours/week) contract if you have 1-3 years experience coordinating M&E activities, designing quantitative and qualitative analysis frameworks, conducting formative research, and contributing to strategic planning and quality assurance that shapes this innovative program's future. You will support global monitoring, learning, and evaluation (MLE) efforts for the Vouchers for Safe Water (VSW) program pilot and scoping activities, including research design and coordination, pilot design and analysis across Liberia and Nigeria. Responsibilities: 1. VSW Liberia Pilot Coordination and Execution: Estimated 120 hours of work Coordinate MLE support and execution for pilot implementation teams, including all MLE and data collection activities You will : Maintain MLE workplan for the pilot, updating and making adjustments weekly Ensure implementation of MLE activities (field data collection, analyses, reporting) occurs according to the workplan through collaboration with MLE-S, MLE-D, program teams, and data collection partners Identify expected changes to timelines or pilot design and implementation, notify relevant stakeholders, and troubleshoot as necessary Deliverable Expectations: Completed Pilot MLE workplan with status updates, completion of activities, and linked reports Completed Pilot MLE reports for each individual activity and a summary report for pilot MLE results 2. VSW Liberia Pilot Design and Analysis Estimated 200 hours of work Support the design and implementation of MLE activities, conduct analysis and report on pilot MLE activities You will: Contribute to and develop MLE designs for data collection activities and reporting structures  Support the MLE-D team and data collection partners in translating designs into training and implementation Contribute to and develop quality assurance mechanisms to ensure high-quality data from the pilot Conduct routine and ad hoc analyses on MLE activity data, including high-frequency checks, quality assurance, and results analysis Deliverable Expectations: Completed design notes and protocols for all pilot MLE activities, integrating changes and course corrections throughout the pilot Replicable and clear analysis plans and/or scripts for analysis and results generation Completed Pilot MLE reports for each individual activity and a summary report for l pilot MLE results 3. VSW Nigeria Formative Research Design and Coordination: Estimated 200 hours of work Coordinate MLE support and execution for VSW formative research, including support design and implementation of MLE activities, conduct analysis, and report on research findings.  You will: Develop and maintain MLE workplan for the formative research, updating and making adjustments weekly Ensure implementation of MLE activities (field data collection, analyses, reporting) occurs according to the workplan through collaboration and coordination with MLE-S, MLE-D, program teams, and data collection partners Contribute to and develop MLE designs for data collection activities and reporting structures for formative research Support the MLE-D team and data collection partners in translating designs into training and implementation Deliverable Expectations: Completed formative research MLE workplan with status updates, completion of activities, and linked reports Completed design notes and protocols for all pilot MLE activities, integrating changes and course corrections throughout the pilot Replicable and clear analysis plans and/or scripts for analysis and results generation Location While the organization has an office in Washington, D.C., this role can be done in a remote setting. Requirements You have 1 to 3 years of demonstrated experience developing M&E frameworks and plans, conducting implementation research, M&E concepts. You hold an advanced degree with significant coursework in quantitative courses (e.g. in economics, statistics, global health). You have a knowledge of M&E design concepts and methodologies, and experience designing and managing M&E plans. You are proficient in using statistical software like Stata, R, and Excel; experience managing, analyzing, and interpreting quantitative and qualitative data. You are willing  to work variable hours to overlap with colleagues located in other Evidence Action geographies. You are a team player, with the ability to collaborate within and between teams.
