I'm passionate about the project, and genuine interest from you in some aspect of it will make a difference in your being able to contribute in a meaningful way. • Although it's being funded by the New York State Council on the Arts and Manhattan Arts Grants, the project could use more money, hence the fundraising component. • Your duties will be varied and include but not be limited to finding a presenting partner or free venue, identifying and contacting businesses and individuals about contributing money, developing free or very low-cost marketing and promotion to increase attendance, including using social media and doing other promotion, crafting and disseminating a crowdfunding campaign, getting media coverage before and at the event, creating and managing the performance website, ticket sales, and other general help. • The position will only require around 6-8 hours per week (depending on the workload); days and hours are somewhat flexible.
