Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and organized Veterinary Receptionist/Technician to join our dedicated team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for pet owners, providing exceptional customer service while assisting with the care of animals in a busy veterinary practice. This role requires a passion for animal welfare, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Duties: * Greet clients and their pets upon arrival, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. * Schedule appointments and manage the clinic's calendar efficiently. * Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries regarding services, procedures, and pet care. * Maintain accurate patient records and ensure all documentation is up-to-date. * Process payments and manage billing inquiries with attention to detail. * Assist veterinary staff with animal restraint during examinations and treatments. * Provide information on pet care, including vaccination schedules and dietary needs. * Maintain cleanliness in the reception area and assist with general clinic upkeep. * Handle client concerns with professionalism and empathy. Qualifications: *Previous experience of 2+ years in a veterinary or animal care setting. * Knowledge of veterinary terminology and animal anatomy is beneficial. * Skills in pet care, dog handling, and animal husbandry are highly desirable. * Familiarity with aseptic techniques and veterinary critical care practices is a plus. * Ability to perform basic tasks such as X-ray assistance or animal restraint is advantageous. * Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on customer service. * Ability to work collaboratively within a team while managing multiple tasks effectively. * A genuine love for animals and commitment to their well-being.
