Compensation: $15.00 + Tips Blackbird Doughnuts: Counter Staff Schedule: Flexible COUNTER POSITION AT BLACKBIRD DOUGHNUTS JOB DESCRIPTION Reports to: Blackbird Retail Manager Status: Non-exempt, Regular Hourly, “At Will” Work Status COUNTER POSITION AT BLACKBIRD DOUGHNUTS | A Blackbird Doughnuts counter staff member is responsible for welcoming and assisting guests with their orders. You will be using our POS, pulling doughnuts from the bakery racks, placing them in branded bags or boxes, preparing coffee + Tea, and genuinely interacting with each guest that enters our space, building relationships and encouraging repeat business. If you choose to work at our South End or Harvard Square location you will also be responsible for selling packing and sandwiches from our sister shop, Sally’s Sandwiches. WHAT YOU'LL DO | - Welcome customers with a warm smile and assist them in selecting their favorite doughnuts, beverages, and treats. - Operate the point-of-sale system efficiently and accurately. - Maintain cleanliness and organization at the counter and in the dining area. - Restock inventory and ensure displays are inviting and fully stocked. - Provide exceptional service to ensure every guest leaves happy and satisfied. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR | - A positive attitude and a love for interacting with people. - Reliability and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment. - A very flexible schedule to accommodate changing needs as scheduling can change quickly. - Availability to work flexible hours, including mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays. - No experience necessary—training is provided! They will have a dual role as a Front Desk Agent and Auditor. JOB DUTIES 1. Night Audit – Perform nightly audits of the POS and PMS.
