Job description Join Our Team as an Aircraft Structural Technician! Role & Responsibilities: Comply with all safety regulations and procedures while performing work to ensure a secure environment. Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, manuals, and specifications to determine layout requirements. Use measuring instruments and scribes to mark outlines or patterns on materials. Set up and operate fabricating machines (shears, brakes, presses, and more) to shape parts according to specifications. Operate soldering equipment for joining sheet metal parts and smoothing edges or surfaces with hand tools and power tools. Inspect completed work for conformance to specifications using precision measuring instruments. Diagnose and repair structural discrepancies while installing structural fittings (bulkheads, stringers, ribs, etc.). Install insulation materials and repair damage to aircraft skins, including using patch materials. Maintain detailed records of all repairs and work performed on the aircraft following repair station guidelines. Skills Required: Machining: Proficient in operating and maintaining metalworking machines, including lathes, milling machines, and drill presses. Welding: Skilled in welding processes to repair and modify aircraft parts. Fabrication: Experienced in creating tools and parts from scratch as well as repairing and modifying existing components. Inspection: Capable of assessing aircraft parts for condition and functionality, ensuring compliance with operational standards. Required Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent. Completion of an FAA-approved sheet metal mechanic program. 3+ years of experience as a sheet metal mechanic, with a minimum of 2 years working on aircraft. Must be a U.S. Citizen. In-depth knowledge of multiple helicopter platforms, including: - Airbus: H125 (AS350) and H130 - Bell: 407 and 412 - Agusta: 109 and 119 Strong working knowledge of blueprint reading, geometry, and trigonometry. Proficient with hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment. Familiarity with aviation maintenance manuals. Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of experience as a sheet metal mechanic, with at least 2 years on aircraft. Experience working on commercial or military aircraft. Certification from the National Institute for Aviation Research (NIAR). Leadership experience in a supervisory or management role. Accurately complete work orders, BOMs, data inputs within ERP system. Read and understand Commercial, FAA, EASA, Repair Station, and ISO documentations. Process proper tools. Understand and practice safe and efficient productive use of tools. Mentor and train other personnel. Immediately report to any supervisor any safety, quality or un-ethical actions or conditions they perceive to exist for immediate evaluation and resolution. Perform other duties as assigned by any supervisor in a professional manner. Requirements High School Diploma/GED minimum. Technical school courses in mechanic or machinist classes advantageous. Minimum 2 years of experience preferred. High level of integrity, confidentiality and discretion. Personality to fit in with current work force to provide a productive atmosphere. Computer skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Quantum preferred. Read and adhere to verbal and written instructions. Make basic decisions and work with deadlines while understanding pressure. Work with people and communicate (both oral and written communication) with other personnel and management effectively.
