Position Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Jr. Accountant to join our growing team. This entry-level position is ideal for someone looking to build a career in accounting within a supportive and dynamic CPA firm. You will assist account executives in managing client accounts, categorizing transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial statements, and supporting clients throughout their engagement with our firm. Key Responsibilities • Assist in initial client discovery meetings (with Account Executive). • Support account executives in managing client accounts and responding to inquiries. • Help onboard new clients by sending welcome emails, intake sheets, engagement letters, and document checklists. • Verify client documents for completeness and accuracy. • Maintain customer relationship management and checklist databases. • Follow up with clients to collect outstanding documents and information. • Categorize transactions, reconcile accounts, and prepare client financial statements and accounting records. • Provide progress updates to clients under the guidance of account executives. • Confirm client receipt of financial statements and address follow-up questions. • Support ongoing advisory services and refer clients to appropriate team members for additional needs. Qualifications • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. • 1–2 years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping (internships count). • Basic understanding of tax preparation, financial statements, and general ledger entries. • Strong proficiency in QuickBooks (or similar), Excel, and general ledger activities. • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills. • Eager to learn and grow within a CPA firm environment. • Comfortable working with confidential financial information. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Team player with a positive attitude and initiative. • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines. • Operates with a strong sense of urgency and efficiency.
