Description

Lead Tax Resolution Fulfillment with India Team Support & Expert Backing We're a profitable and rapidly growing tax resolution firm seeking an Operations Manager to own all fulfillment after the sale. You'll work directly with our Tax Resolution Director (who focuses on sales) and manage our India-based team for backend support. This is hands-on leadership - you'll both do the work and direct others. Your Role in Our System: Our Tax Resolution Director (Rick) closes deals and immediately transfers clients to you. From there, you own the entire fulfillment process: 1. Receive warm client handoff from Rick 2. Develop resolution strategy (with Rick available for complex questions) 3. Handle IRS/state negotiations personally 4. Delegate document prep and routine work to back office team 5. Roll up your sleeves for complex work that needs your expertise 6. Ensure flawless execution through hands-on involvement What You'll Own: ✓ All tax resolution fulfillment from contract to completion ✓ Client relationships post-sale through resolution ✓ Direct negotiations with IRS and state agencies ✓ Managing and directing our back office team (10+ professionals) ✓ Quality control for all deliverables ✓ Building SOPs for repetitive tasks (for back office team) ✓ Hands-on work when complexity demands it ✓ State sales tax resolutions (voluntary disclosure, penalty abatement) ✓ 941/940 payroll tax cases as we expand How We Support You: ✓ Rick (Tax Resolution Director) available for complex case consultation ✓ Back office team handles routine document preparation ✓ Clear separation: Rick sells, you fulfill ✓ Full autonomy in building processes ✓ Direct reporting to CEO (Bruce) for operational decisions ✓ Budget for tools and resources you need Requirements: ✓ CPA, EA, or equivalent tax resolution experience ✓ 5+ years in tax/accounting (bonus: state tax resolution experience) ✓ Experience managing Indian/offshore accounting teams ✓ Hands-on practitioner - comfortable doing the work yourself ✓ Strong delegation skills for appropriate tasks ✓ Systems-builder mindset ✓ Available during business hours for client transfers ✓ QuickBooks expertise ✓ Excellent written and verbal communication ✓ Self-directed problem solver The Balance You'll Strike: Hands-On Work (50%): • Complex negotiations with IRS/states • Difficult case resolution • Initial client strategy sessions • Final review of critical documents Management & Delegation (50%): • Direct overseas team on routine tasks • Quality control their output • Build processes and templates • Train team on new procedures Compensation & Growth: ✓ Base: $65,000-$75,000 (excellent for remote position) ✓ Performance Bonus: 10-20% of base ($6,500-$15,000) ✓ Total Year 1: $71,500-$90,000 ✓ Growth potential as company scales ✓ Benefits: Health insurance contribution ✓ PTO: Flexible vacation policy ✓ Live anywhere - your dollars go further in lower COL areas Your Typical Day: Morning: Review overseas team's overnight work, make refinements Mid-Morning: Receive 2-3 warm transfers from Rick, begin case work Midday: Handle complex cases personally, delegate routine tasks Afternoon: IRS/state negotiations and client calls End of Day: Queue assignments for India team, handle urgent items Ideal Candidate Profile: You're an experienced tax professional who enjoys both strategic leadership and hands-on work. You've successfully managed offshore teams but aren't afraid to dive into complex cases yourself. You want the authority to build processes your way while having expert backup when needed. You understand that smart delegation multiplies productivity, but also know when personal attention is required. Perfect if you: • Currently do tax resolution but want more autonomy • Have managed offshore teams successfully • Enjoy both strategy and execution • Want to escape corporate bureaucracy • Appreciate having expert backup without micromanagement • Value work-life balance and location flexibility Our Structure & Culture: • Rick (Tax Resolution Director): Handles sales, available for case consultation • You (Operations Manager): Own all fulfillment and overseas team management • Bruce (CEO): Strategic direction and support • Overseas Team: Your backend support for routine work • Clear roles, no confusion, maximum efficiency To Apply, reply with: 1. Your resume and current location (city/state) 2. Examples of tax resolution cases you've handled 3. Your experience managing Indian/offshore teams 4. A situation where you both did work and delegated effectively 5. Why this blend of hands-on and management appeals to you 6. Your current compensation and expectations Video interviews start immediately for qualified candidates. Why This Opportunity: This isn't a pure management role where you never touch the work. It's not a grinder role where you do everything yourself. It's the sweet spot - you handle what requires expertise while building systems and managing a team for everything else. With Rick's expertise available when needed and an India team for support, you can handle 3x the case volume of a solo practitioner while maintaining quality and sanity. This position will fill quickly. Qualified candidates will receive interview invitations within 24 hours. ________________________________________
