Position We are seeking a Remote Litigation Attorney (Independent Contractor) with 2–3 years of litigation experience and strong knowledge of California civil procedure and courts. This role is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented attorney who enjoys working independently while maintaining consistent, reliable communication with the firm. Responsibilities * Manage all aspects of litigation, from pleadings through discovery and motion practice * Draft, review, and file motions, pleadings, and other court documents * Handle case strategy, research, and analysis * Appear remotely (and occasionally in-person, if required) for hearings and proceedings in California courts * Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and the firm team * Meet deadlines and maintain high-quality work product with minimal supervision Qualifications * J.D. from an accredited law school and admission to the California State Bar (active and in good standing) * Must have passed the California Bar Exam and be admitted to practice law in California * 2–3 years of litigation experience with demonstrated knowledge of California court procedures * Strong legal research and writing skills * Ability to work independently and manage multiple cases and deadlines * Excellent organizational and communication skills * Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and reliable in a remote work setting Contract Details * Independent contractor role * Fully remote position * Flexible schedule with the expectation of meeting case deadlines and court obligations * Compensation commensurate with experience, structured on hourly basis How to Apply If you are an experienced California litigation attorney looking for the flexibility of remote work and the independence of a contractor role, we’d love to hear from you.
