Position Overview: This is an assistant managerial position that reports to the Project Manager and/or Sr. Project Manager for the Department    Assigned Responsibilities: Manage projects and scopes as assigned by manager. Work with owner’s representative to communicate progress of project. Prepare preliminary estimates / budgets.  Select subcontractors to solicit bids.  Review subcontractor proposals  Prepare, review for approval, and submit contract changes/proposal to owner. Negotiate contract changes/proposals with owners. Solicit and process submittals and shop drawings. Collaborate and prepare CPM project schedule.  Preparation of job cost budget.  Monitor construction progress with Superintendent.  Maintain project documentation.  Investigate adverse situations and report to PM and/or Sr. PM Represent company in project meetings, when required. Responsible for monitoring and maintaining project costs. Active participation in safety Additional duties as assigned.  Requirements B.S Construction Management / Engineering and / or 2-3 years general construction experience required.  Knowledge of construction, quantity take-offs and estimating required.  Computer skills, knowledge of Project Management, scheduling, good communication and organizational skills are necessary.  Ability to work independently on assigned projects. The position for Senior Project Manager takes full responsibility for a variety of electrical, from marketing through project close out and customer follow up. Qualified candidates will have a successful track record demonstrating a complete understanding of project management responsibilities, including profit, supervision, customer relations, fiscal, and contract management.  Responsibilities include: Supervise multiple Project Managers who are managing multiple projects. Manage up to $30 million-dollar electrical construction projects or multiple large projects simultaneously. Decision-making responsibility concerning project cost, time and performance. Accountability for project planning, execution, job cost tracking, and job closure. Provide monthly project status detail and percent of completion reports. Monitor and control project through administrative direction of on-site foremen to ensure project is completed on schedule and within budget. Initiate and maintain liaison with owners and other contacts to facilitate project activities. Plan ahead to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones. Interfacing with contractors, vendors and in-house operations. Cross-selling of other company operations through fully integrated solutions. Requirements Minimum 15 years’ experience in selling, estimating, and managing multi-million dollar Industrial Construction or Advanced Technology projects. Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering plus 10 years’ construction project experience; or in lieu of degree, 5 years' experience as an Electrical Foreman or General Foreman on large projects, plus 10 years as a Project Manager required. Proven record of successful relationships and marketing skills, preferred. Superior knowledge of electrical codes and construction methods, required. Must have proven experience managing 100k+ man-hour projects. Proven experience with heavy power distribution systems, instrumentation installation, and process control and system integration, required. Thorough applied knowledge of project QA/QC procedures and system turnover. Ability to demonstrate a high level of competency in labor, material, and contract management. Competency in earned-value tracking, labor efficiency index, and crew composite factors. Proven ability to complete a detailed take-off and all required estimating for electrical projects. Relevant experience in electrical subcontracting is a must. The Project Manager develops, coordinates, implements, and manages all activities necessary to construct the project safely, within schedule and budget, and to the quality specified. The Project Manager is accountable for directing project teams, providing general administrative and technical leadership for the project, scheduling and facilitating project meetings, maintaining all project records and monitoring correspondence, as well as supervising the close out of a project. Requirements Estimating: Participate in preconstruction activities, including meetings, subcontractor pricing, and scope of work preparation when necessary Review drawings, prepare RFIs, and develop cost-effective solutions Prepare preliminary schedules for preconstruction and construction phases Budgeting: Collaborate with the Estimating team to develop project budgets Analyze subcontractor estimates, jurisdictional approval costs, and prepare soft cost budgets Oversee value-engineering and real-time cost tracking Procurement: Schedule the purchase and delivery of all project related materials, and long lead subcontract items Review of plans and specifications, schedule and budget and award commitments to subcontractors Oversee the setup of the project in Procore including entering the budget, submittal log, commitments, etc. Modify scope of work template based on project specifications for the subcontractor commitments Project Execution: Organize necessary resources, including people, materials, equipment, tools, and time to meet established deadlines and achieve desired results.
