Solid LLC, is a Carpentry Subcontracting firm that has been in business for over 40 years. We do custom stick-built carpentry framing and finishing of larger, custom houses and smaller commercial buildings throughout the twin city area. The majority of our business however, is remodeling. We do about 675 remodel jobs a year, anything from a small deck to tearing off a roof, adding another story to the house and putting the roof back on. We have been in business 50+ years and have about 50 carpenters on payroll. All of the jobs are in the Minneapolis/Saint Paul metro area. We are looking for a Trim/Finish 1099 Subcontractor. Their main job duties include running diagnostic tests, determining failures, and correcting issues. This can include larger jobs of replacing transmissions and third member assemblies. Our Diesel Technicians collaborate with team members to ensure that the equipment is safe and operates efficiently. ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES Perform thorough DOT inspections and repairs on Company vehicles and machines.   Use different hand tools and powered equipment, such as impact wrenches, welding equipment, hoists, jacks, etc. to repair trucks while constantly utilizing safety precautions.  Diagnose malfunctions in defective equipment by inspecting and testing using electronic diagnostic equipment and wiring schematics, and then efficiently making those repairs.  Test drive vehicles to identify problems and to verify that equipment has been repaired properly.  Replace parts, valves, bearings, assemblies, etc. as needed and repair vehicle cooling and heating systems. Utilize knowledge of diesel emissions and diagnostics to accurately repair issues.  Ensure parts conform to factory specifications by inspecting and verifying clearances and dimensions.  Other duties as assigned.  MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or GED certificate Completion of a certificate program or technical training in mechanics and truck repair preferred.
