They must also follow safety protocols, operate power tools and lifts, potentially assist with customer service, and sometimes perform roadside assistance or fleet checks. Key Responsibilities: Tire Installation & Replacement: Removing old tires and wheels, installing new tires, and remounting them onto vehicles. Tire Maintenance & Repair: Performing tire rotations, balancing, repairing small punctures, and replacing valve stems. Equipment Operation: Using and maintaining machinery such as tire changers, wheel balancers, lifts, and various hand and power tools.
