We would really like to find someone who is willing to work at both shops and with that said there can be opportunity for growth within the company. Role Overview We are seeking an experienced Site Lead (residential superintendent / lead carpenter) to oversee daily operations on high-end residential remodels and additions. This is a hands-on leadership role, responsible for managing subcontractors, carpentry crews, and vendors while ensuring quality, schedule, and safety on-site. The position emphasizes reviewing site conditions, architectural drawings, and project details, rather than performing day-to-day carpentry. Candidates must live and work in the East Bay for reliable, daily access to job sites. Key Responsibilities -Manage day-to-day site operations, staff, subcontractors, and deliveries. -Maintain project schedules and budgets, ensuring efficiency and quality. -Review and implement architectural drawings, details, and specifications. -Enforce safety procedures and ensure building code compliance. -Communicate regularly with project managers, architects, designers, and clients. -Anticipate and resolve on-site challenges with sound judgment. -Mentor carpentry staff and foster a collaborative, professional environment. -Maintain accurate records and updates using Buildertrend or similar software. Qualifications -5+ years of residential construction experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role. -Strong background in carpentry (framing and finish) and knowledge of building codes. -Proven ability to manage schedules, coordinate trades, and lead site operations. -Skilled in interpreting and executing complex architectural plans. -Strong organizational, communication, and client-relations skills.Proficiency with scheduling tools, Excel, and project management platforms (Buildertrend preferred). OSHA certification preferred. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must currently live and work in the East Bay.
