Internship: Computer Science Student – Custom PC & Server Builder
Location: New York City (hybrid/remote possible)

About the Role
Are you a computer science student passionate about hardware, servers, and
hands-on problem solving? We are looking for an intern who loves building and experimenting with
custom computers and servers. You’ll start with the Minisforum MS-01
and MS-A1 mini PCs and expand into projects involving
Proxmox virtualization, BIOS/firmware updates, eGPU setups, and 3D-printed case adaptations.
This is an opportunity to merge your CS knowledge with real-world hardware engineering.
What You'll Do
Assemble and configure custom PCs and servers for internal and client projects
Install and manage Proxmox, set up virtual machines, and experiment with clustering
Perform BIOS and firmware updates across different systems
Design, adapt, and test 3D-printed case mods and hardware enclosures
Build SSD-based NAS and storage systems
Integrate and test eGPU expansion units (NVIDIA preferred)
Troubleshoot, optimize, and document builds for learning and knowledge sharing
Who We're Looking For
Computer science student (undergrad or grad) with strong interest in hardware
Passionate about building PCs, servers, and experimenting with hardware products
Basic knowledge of CPUs, RAM, SSDs, GPUs, and networking
Eagerness to learn about Proxmox, virtualization, and hardware/firmware tuning
Bonus: experience with 3D printing or CAD tools
Curious, reliable, and detail-oriented
