Machine Operator San Diego, CA • Commercial Metal Fabrication Job Type Full-time Description Summary: Set up and operate a variety of machine tools to produce precision parts and instruments. Includes precision instrument makers who fabricate, modify, or repair mechanical instruments. May also fabricate and modify parts to make or repair machine tools or maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, mathematics, metal properties, lay out and machining procedures. Duties and Responsibilities: · Understanding of blueprint reading and geometric dimensioning and tolerancing · Use precision measuring device such as caliper, height gauges, gauge pins, micrometer and thread gauges etc. · Machine maintenance oil/coolant/ grease/hydraulic level · Stock/material preparation · Saw raw materials Horizontal/Vertical automatic saw · Cleaning Chips from machines and floor, put tools away and organizing tool crib · Operate and run 3 and 4 Axis vertical machine center, loading, and securing raw stock · Assist Machinist with getting fixturing and tools ready for the next job · Deburring, Sanding, and cleaning Requirements · 1-2 years of experience as a machinist in a machine shop environment Education Requirements: · High School diploma or equivalent About Core Systems Core Systems is a global leader in rugged embedded systems for military and industrial needs based out of California. Non-Exempt Salary Details: The annualized base salary range for this role is $33,280 to $41,600. Annualized values for non-exempt (hourly) positions are estimates, final annualized salary will depend on total hours worked. Final compensation package will ultimately depend on factors including relevant experience, skillset, knowledge, business needs and market demand.

-Must have at least 7 years of consistent experience in cutting, edge banding, laminating countertops, cabinet box/drawer assembly/ You must have extensive experience specifically cutting and building cabinet components, drawers, and plastic laminate countertops at a carpentry shop. Must have reliable transportation daily to our shop and common carpenter hand tools. 1-4 days a week

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to work independently over long periods of time and in groups within the scope of established rules and regulations. Ability to apply knowledge in multiple areas of vehicle repair. Ability to drive a trolley or conch train in a safe, competent manner on busy public streets and company property. Ability to determine the type of tool and equipment needed to do the job. Ability to watch gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
