ShareIndependent Contractor) Company: P&R Mobile Couriers Contract: USPS Highway Contract Route 24463 Location: McDowell, VA – surrounding areas Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099) --- 📦 About the Role P&R Mobile Couriers has been awarded a multi-year contract with the United States Postal Service to transport mail between designated USPS facilities in Virginia. We are seeking reliable, safety-minded drivers to join our contractor team and help us fulfill this important federal contract. As a contract driver, you’ll be responsible for the timely transport of mail along Highway Contract Route 24463. You will represent both our company and the USPS, ensuring professional service, strict adherence to schedules, and compliance with USPS security standards. --- 🛣 Responsibilities Safely operate company-approved vehicle(s) for mail transport. Pick up and deliver mail between assigned USPS facilities according to set schedules. Ensure the secure handling of all USPS property. Complete daily logs and mileage reports accurately. Follow all USPS contractor requirements, including background checks, drug screening, and security protocols. --- ✅ Requirements Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid U.S. Driver’s License Clean Motor Vehicle Record (no serious traffic violations in past 3 years). Must pass USPS background check and drug screening. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and handle mail containers. U.S. citizen or permanent resident (per USPS security requirements). Reliable, punctual, and professional in appearance and conduct. --- 💵 Compensation Rate: $16/hr approx 34 hours per week Contractor paid bi-weekly via payroll service. --- 📝 Additional Information This is a 1099 Independent Contractor role — not an employee position. Drivers are responsible for maintaining reliability and availability for all assigned contract runs. Must be comfortable working with federal contractors and under USPS oversight. You will be responsible for maintaining your own mileage, log maintenance to your vehicle as well as fuel. As a 1099 contractor, you will receive a flat rate with no taxes taken out, so it's important to keep track of your mileage and all expenses that you incur while working on this contract so that you can claim it on your taxes!!!! --- 📩 How to Apply Send the following to info@pandrmobilecouriers.com 1.
