Here is a beautiful Goya G-20, nylon string guitar, made in Sweden in 1965, and in Excellent Condition. It has been through the shop, has had a full neck reset, and plays beautifully, up and down the fretboard. The Flame Maple Back and Sides give this guitar a distinctive tone, and that tone is also supplemented by an under-saddle pickup! The Goya G-20 features a solid Spruce top, Flame Maple Back and Sides, a three piece (Mahogany-Maple-Mahogany) neck, bone nut and saddle, and Rosewood fretboard and bridge. It has a 25 5/8” scale and the action, at the twelfth fret, measures 5/64ths” on both sides. Here are some other relevant specs: Lower Bout: 15” Upper Bout: 11 3/8” Body Length: 18 5/8” Body Depth: 3 7/8” String Spacing at Saddle: 2 5/16” Coming into the shop, the guitar needed and was given a full neck reset, with a new bone saddle, frets leveled and crowned, and the fretboard and bridge treated with lemon oil. It has been strung with a fresh set of D’Addario Pro Arte Extra Hard Tension strings (.029-.045). The guitar came in with an already installed under saddle pickup, which works perfectly. We don’t know whose make it is, but it sounds great through an acoustic guitar amplifier. It is a passive pickup and not particularly loud, so you may desire to put a DI Box between it and your rig. These Swedish Made Goyas, the designated brand name for North America from the Levin company, are exceptionally well made, with a warm, well balanced tonal response. Most of the examples you see will feature Mahogany back and sides, so the Flame Maple is a wonderfully pleasant surprise. This is a model equally at home in jazz, classical, folk, and bossa, and the under saddle pickup means you are absolutely good for gigging out! Ships in a clean, padded Road Runner gig bag.
