We seek a seasoned horticulturist who is experienced in leading professional garden crews to join our team. You can work either full-time, or part-time (minimum three days a week). Our schedule is from 8-4, Monday through Friday (no weekends). This is a year-round position. The right candidate will have proficiency in all aspects of garden care: correct pruning, mulching, and planting techniques, western Washington weed and plant identification, and more. We seek someone with a depth of horticultural knowledge that surpasses the typical “mow and blow” landscaping operation. We will work with the right person to train them in our standards and systems before placing them in leadership. You will: - Manage the workflow and quality of work on job sites - Ensure that safety standards are being followed - Train and mentor crew members - Communicate daily with clients and managers Qualifications: - Minimum 2 years in professional landscaping with a horticulture-focused company - Experience leading others on a professional garden crew - Excellent plant ID and pruning skills - Strong communication, teamwork, recordkeeping, and organizational skills - Ability to lift 50+ lbs and enjoy working outdoors in all weather - Have a valid WA driver's license and a clean driving record - Have a reliable vehicle for transportation to job sites, and a smartphone for accessing our calendar and other tools. I am looking for a quality guy to me help me with a specific project at a home in Elmhurst. I typically work in the West and Southwest suburbs. We are going to be remodeling a basement, hanging drywall, painting, installing a laminate flooring and other projects. Other project I typically work on include: Framing, painting, hanging drywall, mudding & taping, installing base trim, door casing, installing shower doors, install kitchen cabinets, installing tile and other. I have consistent work to keep us busy every day M-F for months. We work in the suburbs such as: Bolingbrook, Downers Grove, Naperville, Lockport, Plainfield, Joliet, Aurora, Orland Park and other nearby areas. MUST have: * Your own basic tools. (screw gun, hammer, caulk gun, saw, tape measure, etc... * Experience is helpful but attitude is key... along with a willingness to learn and develop new skills. * Good transportation * MUST be reliable and timely * Start immediately Payday is by check at the end of each week.
