Experience and Background: Two years of electrical maintenance experience. Experience working in remote arctic environment preferred. Must be able to read and interpret instructions & manuals. Ability to adapt to changing conditions and work assignments, prioritize and manage multiple assignments and tasks. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively (oral and written), able to follow instructions and adhere to company policies & procedures. Certificates, Licenses and Requirements: State of Alaska Electrical Journeyman Certificate of Fitness Valid Driver License that meets ICE Services insurance criteria for driving. North Slope Training Cooperative (NSTC) Card – preferred, not required. Must pass a pre-hire drug test, breath alcohol test, occupational fitness test, criminal background check and computer-based testing. Be at least 18 years of age. Ability to lift & carry 65 pounds on regular basis, routine walking, standing, bending. There is a lack of immediate access to critical medical services as well as urban community services. Rotational schedule of at least 11.50 hours per day for a minimum of 21 days consecutively as required. Our team is currently looking for a self-motivated Diesel Mechanic, with his/her own tools, to keep up our level of commitment to safety and customer service. The mechanic will perform truck repair and maintenance work in accordance with factory and industry standards, run diagnostics on vehicles and work closely with other team members to meet company goals. Diesel Technician responsibilities • Perform minor and major repairs on trucks and trailers. • Conduct regular preventative maintenance inspections on trucks and trailers. • Perform DOT inspections. • Perform major repairs to equipment, including engine, rear end, clutch, brake, and transmission. • Perform minor repairs to equipment, including but not limited to cutting, welding, changing tires, and replacing lights. • Perform electrical system repairs on vehicles. • Maintain clean and organized work area. • Professional appearance and language (no profanity) Applicants must be able to pass a background check and drug test. Experience, skills, and knowledge • 2+ years of Diesel Technician and/or mechanic experience preferred. • Proficient knowledge of scan tools, mechanical, and electrical systems • Valid driver’s license • Self-motivated person who comes to work on time every day.
