Senior Paralegal
Hire Counsel is seeking a senior paralegal to provide a variety of direct paralegal services to assist AUSAs in Nashville, TN. Must be able to obtain and maintain an MRPT security clearance.
Responsibilities Include:
Seek information and locating new sources of information in aid of ACE investigations and litigation through contacts or correspondence with law enforcement as well as officials from other governmental agencies, witnesses and counsel.
Independently gather factual material.
Read, annotating, and summarizing transcripts, files, and other aspects of the case file. Prepare case-summary binders. Prepare case-summary binders. Obtain financial and statistical information.
Obtain agency, court, and other public records.
Analyze documents and drafting court filings and memoranda for AUSA review.
Have working knowledge of, and experience with, federal and state court systems, civil litigation, civil discovery, legal research procedures and resources, and financial fraud investigations.
Organize and manage a substantial quantity of records (often hundreds of thousands of pages of electronically stored evidence per case), documents, data, and discovery.
Conduct financial analyses and related investigations of individuals and organizations to determine their ability to satisfy a judgment or settlement.
Prepare subpoenas and reviewing, organizing, and summarizing large productions in response to such subpoenas.
Utilize various software applications and graphics hardware such as scanners and plotters. Prepare documents, charts, and visual materials for use in trials. Provide technical support (e.g., enlarging charts and photographs, duplicating tapes and videos, and marking exhibits).

Hours: 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day
Location: Onsite in Nashville, TN
Pay rate: $32.44/hr ($27.51 base + 4.93 H&W)
Qualifications:
Must be able to obtain and maintain Moderate Risk Public Trust (MRPT) facility credentials/authorization. Note: US Citizenship is required for MRPT facility credentials/authorization at this work location.
Requires paralegal certificate, or JD, or currently attending an ABA-accredited law school, having completed at least one year of study, or an equivalent level of legal training or experience; or an equivalent level of education may be substituted.
Must have three (3) years of experience with litigation support projects or undergraduate degree, coursework in legal related studies helpful.
Must be able to work independently and as a part of a team.
Excellent written and oral communication skills required.
Requires hands-on familiarity with Windows Operating systems, Microsoft Word, Outlook and Excel, as well as government networks environments, internet and server-based database.
Applicants must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:
Trial experience very helpful.
Prior experience with working in a legal office setting is highly preferred.
Experience with data entry, calendar management and docketing helpful. List minimum education, years of experience and all minimum requirements.
