Job Title : Java Developer Location : Walnut Creek, CA Type : 6 + Months Rate : $Open (Best Possible) Job Responsibilities :– Drive the design, development and implementation of the core of our Java / J2EE technology platform and web services. Debug issues across multiple layers of the application stack. Drive code quality through unit testing and advocate test-driven development methodologies. Refactor and improve code quality, maintainability and scalability. Evaluate the adoption of new tools and technology. Interface with clients to discover, troubleshoot and resolve integration issues. Lead projects and exert technical influence with team members, increase productivity and effectiveness by sharing domain knowledge and experience. Take ownership of all tasks assigned to you and tasks assigned to engineers working on your projects. REQUIREMENTS :- 6+ years of software development experience in Java/Java EE Extensive engineering experience and a proven track record in e-commerce, enterprise, high performance, large scale web technologies including cloud based APIs and protocols (REST, JSON). Thought leader, hands-on contributor, and decision maker known for solving difficult software engineering problems. Proficient in data structures, algorithms, design patterns and Object Oriented Programming. Experience with one of the major relational databases (MSSQL, Oracle, Postgres) Excellent Java and J2EE coding skills. Experience in payments or high transactional systems. Experience with Linux and other Unix-like operating systems. Excellent team player with good analytical, strategic planning and interpersonal and communication skills. Highly motivated, enthusiastic and self-starter Experience with Kafka, NoSQL database is a plus. Exposure to JBoss Fuse, Apache Camel or MuleSoft highly desired. Experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) tools Docker, ECS, S3 etc. Experience building CI/CD pipeline with maven/jenkins/code pipeline. Proficient with API design, Strong in Spring framework and understanding of Microservices. Exposure to API Gateway (Apigee) is a huge plus. Principal Embedded Software Developer (VSE)
We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Software Engineer with extensive experience in Linux-based systems software design, security concepts, development, and testing. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing new cyber security features, developing implementation guidance for cyber security controls, and conducting research and development of novel cyber security concepts. Key/Primary Responsibilities • Develop cyber security software for Toyota products. • Operate with minimal oversight to define requirements with stakeholders and design the implementation of new features. • Investigate cyber security controls of processors and microcontrollers and develop Proof-of-Concepts and implementation guidance to suppliers. • Perform research and development of novel cyber security features. • Work with the open-source community to expand cyber security capabilities of existing projects and share new projects that are broadly useful outside of Toyota. • Develop software in accordance with team coding guidelines and industry standards including MISRA, SEI CERT, and AUTOSAR. • Collaborate with CICD teams to add new capabilities to the build and release pipeline and customize pipeline for new projects. • Collaborate with test teams to define testing strategies and assist in automated test development. • Lead internal testing team and provide guidance when regular leadership is unavailable. • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers in software development best practices and provide guidance in their design, implementation, and testing tasks. • Conduct root cause analysis of defects and lead initiatives to improve product quality and testing processes. • Work with a wide range of stakeholders to align on deliverable expectations, deployment timelines, and testing issues. • Facilitate team meetings, including sprint planning, retrospectives, and daily stand-ups, to ensure effective communication and collaboration. • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in embedded systems development, and advocate for their integration into the team’s processes.
