POSITION SUMMARY Assist Benefits Supervisor with daily and monthly items to enhance the success, growth, and performance of the Benefits department. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following: • Complete monthly health insurance enrollments. • Send letter to employees newly enrolled in health insurance. • Complete monthly health insurance terminations. • Update and maintain employees’ files and assist Payroll Department with benefit deductions or additions in company HRIS. • Send COBRA documentation to employees newly terminated in health insurance. • Complete filing of new hire paperwork for medical. • Obtain any necessary forms to enroll employees into health insurance when eligible. • Add newly enrolled employees’ information into HRIS to view health insurance information. • Answer all health insurance and benefit related questions for employees and clients. • Assist employees in filing health, dental, life, and all other related and deferred benefit claims. • Maintain Flexible Spending Account information and payments. • Handle Affordable Care Act reporting for any clients with over 50 FTE. • Obtain new HC-5 forms each year as needed. • Send initial TDI letter to employees as needed. • Track TDI in HRIS. • Create Invoices for quarterly TDI billings. • Assist and complete injury reports for Workers’ Compensation billing. • Work with Workers’ Compensation carrier on any Workers’ Compensation claims. • Create invoices for quarterly Workers’ Compensation billing. • Monitor state changes to Hawaii Family Leave Law • Monitor federal changes to Family Medical Leave Act. • Monitor those clients who will need Family Medical Leave coverage with 50 or more employees. • Assist clients with paid and unpaid leave of absence policies • Monitor employees on paid and unpaid leave of absence. • Assist with annual open enrollment. • Assist with annual reporting as needed. • Assist with retirement planning as needed. Miscellaneous: • With team, present recommendations and assist in implementing quality initiatives. • Provide support on any other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS • Two (2) to four (4) years in benefits or related benefits administration • Effective communication skills, oral & written. • Experience in Word, Excel, PrismHR and other applicable database programs helpful. • Knowledge of Company policies/procedures & benefit package or the ability & willingness to learn. • Strong organizational skills. • Effectively communicates with people in potentially stressful situations. • Ability to consistently meet daily, weekly and monthly deadlines. 401-K Matching PTO and Holiday pay 100% paid medical and dental(PPO and HMO) Employee benefit perks (entertainment benefits locally and nationally)
