Looking for a part-time Board-Certified Physician who is interested in working on clinical research studies. Physical exams and other minor procedures are among the duties assigned. We offer very flexible hours and a wonderful work environment. Training will be provided. Our current studies focus on rheumatology, gastroenterology, psychiatry, dermatology, cardiology, endocrinology, and medical devices. What is my role as a Sub-Investigator? When conducting a research study, physicians are considered leaders; this position is known as Principal Investigator (PI) or Sub-Investigator, and it assists the investigator in carrying out the investigation(s). The PI or Sub-I performs work that is similar to the procedures performed at his or her clinic. Physical exams, reviewing lab reports, medical assessments and treatments are examples of such procedures. Research subjects are seen at our clinic. Weekday and weekend PCA’s needed for independent male quadriplegic because of a spinal cord injury. My long-term live-in weekday PCA is moving on after 10 years and he is going to sunny warm Arizona. My weekend PCA is also moving on for other commitments. I’m an easy-going guy and I work full time from home during the week. I enjoy TV, movies, and getting out of the house on weekends. I have good use of my arms, use a power wheelchair for mobility, and have a modified van that I drive myself. Duties Training will be provided. You would be working in my private home. Duties include dressing assistance, bathroom assistance, range-of-motion exercises, meal preparation, laundry, grocery shopping, and light cleaning. Candidate must be able to provide a safe transfer to and from wheelchair. I’m 5’ 11” and weigh about 130 pounds. I have good arm strength so I’m able to hold on for the transfer. Area Roseville, MN Shift Monday thru Friday mornings start as early as 6:30 for 4 hours. Monday thru Friday evenings are a little flexible but generally 7 to 11. Weekends are more flexible but generally start at 9:00am for 4 hours and 7 to 11pm. There is a possibility for a live-in situation after a trial period to see if we’re compatible. I do have extra bedrooms and bathroom if it is easier for the PCA to spend the night. Qualifications A responsible, honest and trustworthy person with reliable transportation required. The closest mainline bus route is about a mile away. Candidates must speak fluent English, be 18 years or older and pass a DHS (MN Department of Human Services) background check. Candidates must be punctual, good communicators and be able to manage child care and other responsibilities in a way that they do not frequently interfere with a regularly set schedule.
