Bartender (Pasadena)

We’re looking for cooks to work at our fun and casual resort restaurant at Campland on the Bay in the beautiful Pacific Beach neighborhood of San Diego (92109). We need help with cooking, preparing and seasoning soups, burgers, tacos, burritos, pizzas and more. Help us ensure our standard and special menu entrees look and taste great and reach our customers in a timely manner. Ideal candidates will have prior experience working as a line and prep cook and will memorize the menu fast. We hope you’re able to communicate in a professional way with our entire restaurant and bar team as well as team members from other departments. You also must have a current San Diego County Food Handlers' card, be well-versed in safe, sanitary food handling, follow directions and safety procedures, and report to work on time for scheduled shifts. A willingness to work on whatever needs to get done and a sense of restaurant urgency is also important to successful job performance. Campland on the Bay is open every day of the year and this means you must be available to work morning, afternoon or evening shifts on weekdays, weekends and holidays. This is a seasonal hourly position that offers paid sick time and perks unique to working at our resort. Overtime is possible. Interested? We can't wait to hear from you! EOE On any given day, you’ll do several or all of these tasks: • Work closely and professionally with our other cooks, bartenders, barbacks, cashiers and runners • Prep and timely cook (grill, fry, deep-fry, toast or bake) regular and special menu items • Change out fryer grease • Prep adequate quantities of ingredients for upcoming shifts • Maintain clean and sanitary kitchen work areas • Deep clean the kitchen and kitchen equipment as directed • Receive deliveries • Stock food and non-food supplies • Wash dishes, pots and pans and utensils • Open or close the kitchen Required Education and/or Experience • Current San Diego County Food Handlers' card • Minimum of two years' experience in a similar fast-casual restaurant

This role involves preparing and blending teas according to recipes, ensuring consistent flavor and quality. Responsibilities include measuring ingredients, mixing teas, performing quality checks, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Responsibilities: • Measure and blend teas according to established recipes and standards. • Conduct quality checks to ensure consistency, flavor, and aroma meet company standards. • Record blend information and adjust processes based on findings. • Identify and report defective or substandard ingredients. • Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety and sanitation procedures. • Assist with packaging and labeling as needed. • Follow all standard operating procedures for blending and production. • Collaborate with production team to meet daily production goals. • Report food safety or quality issues to the supervisor. Qualifications: • High School Diploma/GED preferred. • Fluent in English, both written and spoken • Experience in tea blending, food production, or a similar role is preferred. • Ability to understand and follow written instructions and recipes. • Strong attention to detail and quality. • Ability to work independently and as part of a team. • Willingness to work any assigned shift, including second shift if needed. Physical Requirements: • Must be able to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds. • Must be able to push and/or pull up to 50 pounds. • Must be able to continuously stand and/or walk for extended periods on concrete surfaces. • Ability to repeatedly kneel, bend, crouch, and/or stoop throughout the shift as needed. We are looking for a line cook to join our team 5 PM shifts per week. Holidays, weekends and some late nights must be available. Responsibilities: Execute menu items from start to finish. This includes but is not limited to preparation of ingredients, butchery of proteins, cooking and plating of menu items Maintaining cleanliness of any BOH work areas, including and not limited to refrigeration, cooking equipment, and prep areas Support other team members and foster a positive work environment Take guidance and direction from Chefs, supervisors and leads Position requires standing, walking, and exert well-paced mobility. Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch to fulfill tasks and may frequently lift up to 30 pounds.
