JOB PURPOSE: Prep cooks are responsible for receiving, checking the quality of, washing, cutting and preparing the produce and food goods in accordance with Din Tai Fung’s procedures. Prep cooks must familiarize themselves with the standard cutting size of all vegetables and take care and attention to wash vegetables thoroughly. Dumpling chefs (Dumpling Prep Cooks) are responsible for preparing, assembling, closing and steaming the dumplings for the guests. Dumpling chefs work from a show kitchen and thus must maintain a clean, groomed and professional appearance. Now we’re seeking a Full-Time (32+ hours/week) Café and Retail Associate at our 16th Street Café and Factory who will celebrate the care and thoughtfulness that goes into our chocolate through thoughtful service of our drinks and pastries. About the Role As an associate, you’ll first learn everything about chocolate from where it’s grown, how it’s processed, and how to make your own batch of chocolate.
