Villain Crepes & Coffee Co seeking cashier/barista/line cook (St johns)
Villain Crepes & Coffee Co is seeking an experienced cashier/ barista for part time weekend mornings. With more shifts possible in the future if the candidate show interests in potentially learning other stations. Line cooking experience is also a plus.
The position will be starting Friday 9am-1pm and Saturday/ Sunday from 8am-2pm.
Looking for someone for longevity. Potential for growth in the future.
Someone that lives locally in St Johns or nearby is preferred/ or with reliable transportation!
Oregon food card required!
Job Description
A barista cashier prepares and serves beverages while handling customer orders and payments, ensuring a positive customer experience through excellent service and maintaining a clean, organized workspace. Key duties include greeting customers, taking orders, operating the cash register, processing payments, crafting coffee and espresso drinks, stocking supplies, and cleaning equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service:
Greet customers warmly and provide information about menu items.
Take orders accurately and ensure customer satisfaction.
Handle customer complaints and inquiries in a polite and efficient manner.
Order & Payment Processing:
Accurately input orders into the POS (point-of-sale) system.
Process cash, credit, and digital payments, providing correct change.
Maintain accurate cash records and handle daily accounting for sales.
Beverage Preparation:
Prepare a variety of hot and cold beverages, including coffee, espresso drinks, tea, and smoothies, according to established recipes.
Operate and clean brewing equipment, such as espresso machines and grinders.
Workstation Maintenance:
Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked work area.
Clean and maintain equipment, work stations, and the customer area.
Restock supplies like cups, lids, and other inventory as needed.
Teamwork & Operations:
Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth operations and prompt service.
Assist with opening and closing tasks, such as preparing the station and performing side work.
Report any equipment maintenance needs to a supervisor.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Strong multitasking abilities.
Basic mathematical skills for cash handling.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends.
Knowledge of menu offerings and food safety guidelines.
Experience with coffee equipment is often preferred.
A high school diploma or GED is often a requirement.
