Primary Responsibilities: • Installation and maintenance of tires and wheels; repairing, rotating, and inflating tires; attaching and re-balancing wheels – using Shop equipment to ensure optimal tire performance and longevity. • Responsible for routine tire inspections and air pressure checks and to assess wear, damage, and pressure levels, when trucks are parked in the yard to ensure compliance with industry standards. • Diagnose and repair tire-related issues promptly, including punctures, leaks, and tread damage, minimizing vehicle downtime. • Monitor and maintain accurate tire inventory, ensuring an adequate supply of stock for efficient operations. • Document all services performed, including tire condition reports and maintenance records. • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries. • Collaborate with the Truck Shop management team to identify and address tire-related concerns. • Provide excellent customer service by promptly addressing and resolving tire-related inquiries and concerns from drivers and operations personnel. • Operating service vehicles to perform offsite and emergency road services. • Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and new tire technologies to continually improve tire maintenance processes and operational efficiency.
