JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced 2nd Shift CNC Machinist. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the milling CNC operations, ensuring the highest quality standards, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Coordinate the activities of the 2nd shift milling CNC team. Ensure that all milling CNC machines are set up, operated, and maintained according to company standards. Monitor production schedules and ensure that all deadlines are met. Verify conformance of workpieces to specifications using measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and go-no-go gauges. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the milling process. Train and mentor team members on proper machine operation and safety procedures. Maintain accurate records of production, maintenance, and quality control. Implement and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment. Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.   REQUIRED SKILLS / ATTRIBUTES: In-depth knowledge of CNC milling machines and operations. Strong leadership and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications. Proficiency in using measuring instruments and tools. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work night shifts and adapt to a fast-paced environment. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: High school diploma or equivalent; technical degree or certification in CNC machining is preferred. Minimum of 5 years of experience in CNC machining Experience in programming and setting up CNC mills is preferred. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and solve complex problems related to CNC milling operations. PHYSICAL JOB REQUIREMENTS Frequently required to stand, walk, and reach during the duration of shift, 8-10 hours. Occasionally required to sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or bend. Frequently required to perform repetitive tasks and lift up to 50 pounds. Understands and observes all necessary safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) as designated in the specific work area assigned. This position requires working night shifts. PRIMARY DUTIES: Assemble and test large industrial products from bare parts, in "job shop" and production environment. This includes mechanical connections, supports and structures, and control panels. Build custom air compressor, vacuum pump, blower, and pump assembly packages. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: • Some experience to build and disassemble an engine or machine • Electronic Panel Assembly experience preferred but not required • Read & interpret assembly drawings • Mechanical skills • Physically able (lifting of 50 lbs occasionally) • Work well independently/self-starter and with a team DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Such duties include, but are not limited to: • Assemble mechanical assemblies; such as air ends, blowers, and other compressed air system components, working on a shop floor. • Inspects components for proper assembly, specifications, fit and finish. • Plans assembly and positions components according to the knowledge of unit being assembled and through the interpretation of engineering drawings, layout drawings or electrical schematics. • Remove small quantities of metal with hand files, scrapers or machine tools to produce close fit between parts. • Bend and install tubing and fittings for oil lubrication/cooling systems. • Align couplings and subassemblies to the gearbox or other components. • Operate drill presses, milling machines, lathes, hydraulic presses, welders and other shop equipment to assist in assembly operations. • Test completed assemblies for proper operation, temperature, vibration and noise levels and complete required written reports. Troubleshoot, repair or replace faulty components. • Provide feedback in regards to design improvements, updates, and procedures, verbally and in writing, as required. • Work in conjunction with Floor Supervisor to ensure assemblies meet design parameters. • Perform workstation and shop clean-up duties as assigned. EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND KNOWLEDGE Qualifications and Requirements: • Education: High School diploma or GED preferred, but not required. • Specialized training: mechanics, electrical • Previous experience is desired but not required. It should include mechanical assembly and disassembly.
