Rehoming My Chunky Guinea Pig, Carl (Sacramento)

Im looking to find a better home for my boy Carl. I got him last year as a surrender. He is absolutely the sweetest boy. He can hold his bodily functions for quite a while during his human playtime, so he tends to not make a mess all over people and furniture haha. He has never bitten either and he is good with other animals and children. I’m not sure of his exact age but he’s between 2-3 years old. He has no behavioral issues, but he prefers to be solo. This is uncommon for a guinea pig, but Carl just truly prefers to be on his own. He can be housed with other piggies as he was before, but he just tends to keep to himself. I’m rehoming him due to costs. I know pets are a responsibility, and I am prepared to continue to take care of him in the case I can’t find him a new home, but I believe if there’s a chance he can live a better life then I want to try and find that for him. He’s currently living in a DIY hutch that was built by his previous owner. It’s proving to not be holding up over time and I don’t have the space to move him to a more standard guinea pig setup. Carl won’t come with his house due to it’s condition. He will however come with a giant container of hay, as well as whatever else I have that’s his.
