Walsh Trucking Co. a family owned and operated business since 1959, and a staple in the wood residuals and refuse industry, has work available for a Truck/Trailer Mechanic at our terminal in White City. This dayshift position works Monday through Friday. Key responsibilities o Communicating with the Service Manager to set goals and understand needs o Performing preventative maintenance and major repairs on trucks and trailers o The ability to work independently with little oversight o The knowledge required to make decisions on equipment repairs and safe work practices o Knowledge of air brake systems o The ability to diagnose electrical problems/ Utilize diagnostic tools o The ability to repair and replace tires as needed o Provide own set of tools o Fill out parts requests and repair orders o Understanding of air ride suspension o Any welding experience is a plus Qualifications o 1-5 years’ experience in the industry or equivalent schooling o High school diploma or GED Benefits and compensation o $25-$30 per hour o Medical, dental, and vision o 401K with company match o Paid vacation, sick days and holidays If you are interested in joining the Walsh team please email your resume in Word format or in the text of an email.
