Pluck is looking for an energetic, passionate and hardworking Kitchen Manager to lead our small but mighty team. We’re looking for someone organized, adaptable, self-motivated, and excited to work with a dynamic wine bar food program. The ideal candidate values people, ingredients, and the joy of hospitality. Leadership & Operation Skills: -Food costing, purchasing, scheduling and inventory -Ability to train, motivate, and hold staff accountable -Budgeting and spreadsheet proficiency a plus Culinary Requirements: -Strong knife skills and knowledge of basic culinary techniques -Comfort in a small, tight kitchen -Respect for sourcing and ingredients -Ability to expo, observe details and ensure consistent quality -Knowledge of health codes and standards (Food Handler/ServSafe certificate a plus but not necessary, will pay for the right candidate to obtain certification) Personal Qualities: -Self-starter, comfortable managing independently -Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) -Basic Spanish is a strong plus -Availability for both evening and morning shifts -Sense of humor -Professional restraint (yes, there’s a lot of good wine here — you’ll be tested) Physical Requirements: -Able to work on your feet for long hours -Reach, bend, stretch, and navigate a tight line with ease -Lift and carry up to 50 lbs Experience: Minimum 3 years in fine dining or elevated casual kitchens, including at least 1 year in a leadership role.
