ShareAMARA KITCHEN IS HIRING Job Title: Catering Cook Location: Amara Kitchen 519 North Ave 64, Highland Park 90042 Pay: $23–$25 per hour (DOE) Schedule: 7–10 hour shifts; flexible availability required ⸻ Position Overview: We’re looking for a reliable and skilled Catering Cook who loves early mornings and thrives in a fast-paced, production-style kitchen. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in crafting high-quality food, understands the importance of presentation, and is ready to start the day as early as 4:00 AM. If you enjoy the rhythm of early shifts and take satisfaction in seeing a well-executed catering event come together, we’d love to have you on our team. Flexibility, consistency, and a strong work ethic are key. ⸻ Responsibilities: • Prepare and cook food for large-scale catering events • Plate dishes with attention to detail and aesthetic presentation • Follow established recipes and portioning guidelines • Adjust and improvise when needed based on available ingredients or client needs • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen workspace • Work efficiently and professionally during early morning hours • Collaborate with kitchen team to meet tight production timelines ⸻ Job Requirements: • Morning and daytime availability (shifts may start as early as 4 AM) • Must be able to bend, stoop, reach high and low, and work at a consistent pace • Able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds • Must be able to stand for long periods of time • Ability to work safely, follow directions, and communicate clearly with supervisors ⸻ Experience Needed: • Minimum 2 years of experience in a high-volume restaurant or similar food production environment ⸻ Equal Employment Opportunity: Amara Kitchen is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
