We promote from within, and there’s always room for growth and professional development. Job Summary: We’re looking for a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) to join our team as a Forensic Engineer. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in the field, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to see the real-world impact of their engineering expertise. You’ll inspect structures, identify risks, and develop practical repair recommendations — all while helping protect homes and businesses throughout LA. Responsibilities: - Conduct on-site forensic evaluations of structures, foundations, and soils - Perform detailed inspections of subfloor and structural components - Identify issues, analyze damage, and recommend repair solutions - Write clear and professional engineering reports - Communicate findings to clients, internal project managers, and leadership - Stay current on applicable codes and standards (CBC, IBC, AISC, ACI, etc.) Qualifications: - PE license in California (Required) - Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering - 5+ years of experience in structural engineering, including fieldwork - Experience with forensic evaluations and field troubleshooting - Knowledge of structural codes and repair best practices - Strong communication and report-writing skills - Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Perks & Benefits: - Competitive pay: $150,000+ per year (Commission/Fee based) - Potential to Earn more. - Employer contribution toward medical, dental, and vision insurance - 401(k) retirement plan - Paid time off and company holidays - Company phone provided - Room for advancement — we promote from within - Career Growth: We actively promote from within and provide clear paths for advancement and training opportunities. - Stability: 30+ years in business and continuing to grow Schedule: 8-hour shift License/Certification: Professional Engineer license in California (Required) Work Location: In person – Sunland, CA 91040 Equal Opportunity Employer: Alpha Structural is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
