Cook for beautiful restaurant in downtown LA. $20-22 per hour open 7 days a week for Dinner Service. Shifts start at 2:30 PM or 4:30 PM - 10 PM or as needed. Key duties include prepping ingredients, operating kitchen equipment, following health codes, managing inventory, and presenting dishes attractively. Core Responsibilities: Food Preparation: Wash, weigh, measure, chop, and mix ingredients according to established recipes and company standards. Cooking: Cook a variety of dishes using different methods, such as baking, grilling, frying, boiling, and steaming. Quality Control: Ensure the freshness of ingredients and the quality of prepared dishes, making adjustments to taste and presentation. Kitchen Operations: Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, equipment, and utensils, and properly store food to maintain freshness and safety. Inventory & Stocking: Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering new ingredients and supplies, and rotate stock to prevent spoilage. Team Collaboration: Work effectively with other kitchen staff, such as chefs and servers, to ensure efficient service and smooth operations. Health & Safety: Adhere strictly to food handling, hygiene, and safety regulations to prevent contamination and accidents. Dish Presentation: Plate and garnish food attractively to meet customer expectations and maintain the establishment's reputation. Customer service experience required. Heavy volume at location/ good natured attitude with experience or no fear of working with heavy volume running a floor. Our goal is the best experience for our customers and enjoyment is our first priority. Experience with a large crew involving different personalities with customers/employees. Observe all stations are working properly for customer satisfaction. Capable of problem solving and making decisions for customer experience and employee productivity.
