Using hand tools, and power tools to ensure smooth surfaces. Assembling finished parts as needed Responsibilities ~ Grind, sand and polish production parts according to customer specifications ~ Ensures quality production through physical inspection. ~ Inspect parts for flaws and cracks. ~ Will frequently and repetitively be able to lift 50 lbs. ~ Maintains high level of accuracy, efficiency and safety, ensure quality standards and policy objectives are met by in-process inspection. ~ Experience with basic inspection equipment and small tools (calipers, grinders, measuring tape, etc.) ~ Ability to work overtime as needed to meet schedule requirements. ~ Willingness to follow instruction and help wherever needed in the shop. ~ Be self motivated, positive team-oriented attitude. ~ Must maintain a clean and safe working environment Employee is regularly exposed to vibration, moderate noise levels. Must be able to stand for extended periods of time, including stooping, bending, kneeling and crouching. Frequently using hands, handle or feel objects, tools or controls to climb or balance. Qualifications: · High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or trade school preferred. · Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a plant mechanic, maintenance technician, or related role. · Previous supervisory or lead experience strongly preferred. · Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills; ability to read schematics and manuals. · Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems. · Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. · Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment. · Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in industrial plant conditions.
