PURPOSE Serves as Installer for assigned department. Reports timely to project leader on site and performs tasks as needed/assigned. Adheres to safety, quality, and efficiency standards. Travels between job sites as needed. RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: • Provides labor as flooring installer on projects as assigned. • Represents the company in a professional, ethical, and courteous manner. • Must be able to comprehend basic instructions. • Willingness to ask for help when needed. • Must be on-time to jobsites. • Proficient working with all types of flooring, including by not limited to tile, wood, and carpet. • Basic knowledge on leveling floors, including sanding. • Have basic math skills. • Install all types of flooring. • Must be dependable, professional and safety conscious. • Assumes responsibility for his/her own installation quality, correctness, and cost effectiveness on all assigned tasks. • Develops a good process and “flow” on the jobsite, minimizes down-time, has areas completed before changing work assignments. • Team Oriented-Cooperate with Ritsema field leaders in performing assigned tasks. • • Be willing to complete additional tasks as needed. • Adapts easily to changing priorities. • High quality standards - Inspects job quality and reports problems to Field Leader or Superintendent. • Identifies and recommends solutions for improvements. • Pays special attention to quality of their work. • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen. This position requires being able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. regularly, bending, kneeing, and twisting. This position also requires that the employee provide, maintain, and replace their own hand tools. Power tools and specialty tools will be provided by the employer. This includes planning work sequences, delegating tasks, and monitoring progress. • Team Supervision: Lead and manage construction crews, providing guidance, mentoring, and ensuring high performance. Address any issues or conflicts that arise among team members. • Quality Control: Inspect work to ensure it meets quality standards and project specifications. Implement corrective actions as necessary to address any deficiencies. • Safety Compliance: Enforce safety protocols and ensure all workers adhere to regulations to prevent accidents and injuries. Conduct regular safety meetings and inspections. • Communication: Interface with General Contractors, Superintendents, Project Managers, and clients to relay information, provide updates, and address concerns. Maintain clear and concise communication channels. • Resource Management: Manage materials, equipment, and tools on-site, ensuring availability and proper usage. Track inventory and order supplies as needed. • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, production reports, and any incidents. Ensure all paperwork is completed and filed appropriately. • Problem Solving: Identify and resolve issues that may impact project timelines or quality. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS • 3+ years of experience as Foreman or Site Superintendent in Commercial Interior Construction • Drywall, framing, ceilings, and firestopping skills and knowledge • Bonus if you have EIFS/DEFS and Plaster experience • Proficiency in reading blueprints and project specifications. • Strong leadership and team management skills. • Dependability, professionalism, and safety awareness. REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS (will be provided) • OSHA 30 Hour • First Aid / CPR • Hilti Power Actuated Tools • Aerial Lift Operator REQUIREMENTS • Prequalifications • Must be able to pass pre-employment physical and drug screen. • Must be able to pass a background check. • This position requires employees to provide, maintain and replace their own hand tools. Power tools, Safety equipment, and all types of scaffold/lifts are provided by employer. • Physical Requirements • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. regularly and perform tasks that involve bending, climbing, and twisting. • Travel Requirements • This position involves daily travel within Northern Michigan • Must have valid driver’s license • Must have reliable transportation • Must be able to manage 3 or more job sites simultaneously, located 30 minutes or greater apart.
