Looking for experienced prep cook and dishwasher to join our busy seafood and cocktail bar. Ideal candidate will be able to maintain clean works spaces and keep up with assisting line cooks with necessary prep while also keeping dish pit clean and organized. Will be comfortable cleaning and or prepping outside of kitchen on occasion as well as assisting line with restocking products during service, getting ice from the ice machines and helping keep FOH stocked with glassware and silverware. Candidate must also be willing to learn how to shuck oysters and occasionally assist raw bar. Looking for dishwashing position for pizzeria in downtown Asheville. 30 to 35 hours per week. Shift is 2 pm-10:30 pm Must have strong work ethic and desire to learn new skills. We make all of our pastries, desserts, and breads. This will be about 20 hours a week. Assistant to Pastry Chef responsibilities include: -Preparing a wide variety of goods such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread etc. following traditional and modern recipes -Creating new and exciting desserts to renew our menus and engage the interest of customers -Decorating pastries using different icings, toppings etc. to ensure the presentation will be beautiful and exciting -The ideal candidate will have at least some baking or kitchen experience. Must be good at following directions and taking feedback. ----They must adhere to health and safety standards to provide clients with the best possible serving. Trout Lily Market and Deli in Fairview is hiring! We're an independent natural food grocery store and deli focusing on healthy eco-friendly options. We'd like someone positive and conscientious to join our team as a deli prep assistant, cashier and to create grab and go options and baked goods for both Trout Lily Market and our sister store Round Earth Roasters. Food prep experience is a plus, but the new hire will ultimately be trained in all aspects of the store including the deli, grocery, front counter service and as a barista. Once fully trained and confident, closing solo the last hour or so will be required. Open availability is preferred with open weekends a requirement. Schedule would ideally be 2-3 shifts/week, 20-25 hours. Weekends required. No late nights or early mornings! The ideal candidate will be self motivated, responsible and a competent multitasker.
