**Job Description** Renegade Vegan is New York's first and only alkaline vegan food truck. Located in the heart of downtown Brooklyn, our goal is to create the same delicious dishes we enjoyed as children, but with healthy ingredients. Our food is prepared fresh with the customer's satisfaction in mind. We are seeking an enthusiastic and positive cook/sous chef who values teamwork and community to join our team. A positive attitude and love for good food are a must! The position is available immediately for qualified candidates. **Responsibilities:** - Food preparation before the shift (e.g., slicing/sautéing vegetables, preparing sauces). - Adhere to standard recipes and portion sizes. - Monitor food stock inventory. - Prepare meals. - Practice safe food handling practices. - Maintain a clean workstation and comply with food safety regulations. - Demonstrate a sense of urgency in responding to guests and orders. **Experience:** - A minimum of 5 years experience as a line cook in a kitchen or food truck is required. - Salary: $145 per day plus tips! *Must understand and speak basic English.*
