Scout’s Network Engineer will lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of the network infrastructure supporting our renewable energy power plants, remote operations center, and corporate office. This role requires technical expertise in multiprotocol networks, multilayer switches, next-generation firewalls, and central management systems.   Our network environment consists of Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco networking devices, with WAN connectivity via IPSec tunnels and SD-WAN solutions. The ideal candidate will leverage automation and monitoring tools to maintain high availability and ensure SLAs are met. They should also be comfortable navigating change management processes and collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust network solutions.  The Network Engineer will report to the Senior Manager, Information Technology and Cybersecurity.   Key Responsibilities  Oversee and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including Palo Alto, Fortinet, and Cisco devices. Configure and maintain the Azure network infrastructure.  Optimize LAN/WAN architecture, firewall security, and data systems performance for scalability and efficiency.  Implement network monitoring and management systems to achieve high availability and minimal downtime.  Install, configure, and manage firewalls, switches, and other network devices.  Automate routine networking tasks to improve efficiency and reliability.  Apply network security best practices to align with business requirements.  Conduct performance tests, analyze network integrity, and generate reports.  Develop and implement network disaster recovery plans.  Troubleshoot and resolve escalated network support issues.  Maintain comprehensive technical documentation.  Collaborate with business partners to provide network engineering support.  Manage multiple projects, ensuring timely delivery within set deadlines.    Other Responsibilities  SIEM management: Collaborates with IT teams to configure and maintain the SIEM platform to meet security monitoring and incident response requirements.
