Location: Our commercial Kitchen is in Cotati,Ca. Working Hours: Daytime hours preparing menus for events. Full time and Part time available. Job Description: We are seeking a highly skilled, highly experienced Chef, open minded and motivated Sous Chef to join our prestigious catering and private chef company preparing and overseeing production of all cuisine for our catering and events teams, plus prepare meals for our new business Prep in our commercial kitchen. You will be in charge of preparing all mise en place for our events. The ideal candidate will have a passion for high-quality culinary arts, add creativity, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to help manage, cook and prepare for multiple events each week. Culinary degree is a plus. Responsibilities: Assist the Owner and Executive Chef in overseeing all kitchen operations. Ordering & shopping. Prep lists You will be cooking a prepping for all parties putting together the mise en place for our private chef and catering teams. Perform some private chef parties - offsite on slower weeks. Organizing pack outs for gigs and events. You will be exclusively responsible for packing out and organizing each party and overseeing the private chefs packouts for successful parties. Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and safety Must maintain a clean and organized kitchen. Assist in menu planning, ingredient procurement, and inventory control Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations Train and mentor junior kitchen staff Qualifications and must have: Clean DMV, reliable vehicle, willing to drive to events Proven experience as Sous Chef, higher or similar role in high-end restaurants, catering/private chef business. Proven longevity with similar positions or restaurants. 10 years experience cooking in high end restaurants and/or catering. Catering experience is a plus. Must be able and willing to prepare food daily for gigs; this is mostly the position. Master craft in French, American and California cuisine. Basic primal butchery seafood and meats. Know basic French cooking techniques. Basic baking skills. Team player! Positive attitude. Natural leader. Work cleanly.
